August 2007 - Askman by Woodmark.
Askman Furniture is Danish artistic craftmanship at its very best. Created through inspiring collaboration between contemporary Danish designers and Askman's almost 100 years of woodworking skills, each piece is a testament to centuries of tradition. At Askman we make a variety of designer wood products: tables, chairs, trays, bowls, lamps, flatware, and other items for the dining table.

Askman Furniture develops and manufactures products in beautiful, timeless designs. Each product must not only represent functionality and ease of use, but also display obvious design of each detail implemented in choice materials. In all, each product must radiate such attention to quality that its price will never appear excessive.

Woodmark

hello harrymr stickly

July 2007 - New to the INO collection is a range of furniture from Woodmark. We are pleased to introduce the Lounge Hello Harry by the young Australian designer Frag Woodall. Frag has also designed an amazing light called Mister Stickly along with his very original buffet/credenza Visy.

For many in the design community, the first time they had ever heard of Frag Woodall was when they saw him named as one of the finalists for the prestigious Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Award (2006). He was also selected for the inaugural Bombay Sapphire Student Prize for innovative design. Then it became apparent that this interesting newcomer was still a student. Frag ended up winning the latter for his curvaceous Ilium chair.

Slide

slide

April 2006 - Designed by Matteo Thun for release at the Milan Furniture Fair. Light and Transparent, Slide is suitable for any environment. Modelled to accommodate the human body with comfort. It could be defined as a "no-design" object because it eliminates the superfluous and renounces stylistic mannerism, returning to a shape that belongs to the collective memory. made almost ehterreal by the material..

1st Jan 2005 - Designed by Ettore Sottsass for Segis Italy. Sottsass has been a part of the architectural design industry for over 50 years. Trono broad in its width depth and profile gives an appearance of lightness due to its transperancy. Based on a wooden chair made from modern day materials Trono is made of single air injection technopolymers & is also available in solid block colours. Trono is designed for practicality, being able to stack vertically & with a built in handle for easy monuverability.

Uno

uno
24 Nov 2004 - An elementary and essentially shaped chair, this project is intentionally focused on the material rather than the form: the idea of hardness and rigidity as communicated by the chair at first sight is then surprisingly denied by the softness and flexibility offered by sitting on UNO. As for available colours? Think Mondrian’s Composition No. 10: pure primary colours of red, yellow, blue, white and black.

Poppystar

Poppystar

24 Nov 2004 - An elegant chair with fluent and continuous curves, Poppystar is an easy chair to use for many purposes: from residential through to commercial and café interiors. This stacking armchair is made of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene formed by means of latest generation “air moulding” process (thermoplastic injection with gas). Poppy is available in Red, pink, turquoise, black, light grey, mint, ivory and yellow.

INO biennale

INO party

24 Nov 2004 - The INO biennale event, Indulge, at the Helen Maxwell Gallery was a great success! Using the two gallery spaces to create settings of Basile and Evans and Segis pieces, INO introduced several new furniture designs to Canberra’s architectural and interior design community. Event manager, Jessica Wright, created an extremely enticing menu prepared by a leading chef from Sydney (very secret squirrel). The demitasse of sweet corn veloute with truffle oil was divine and Ben O’Lachlin’s double bass wove strains of deep honeyed sound through the space. It was our pleasure to entertain our guests!

New products introduced included: Griffen Chair by Basile and Evans Uno Chair by Segis, Poppystar Chair by Segis, Mambo family of stools by Segis, Pacific by Segis, Vu Lounge and Armchair by Segis and Home timber seat by Segis.
